Are you passionate about food and enjoy creating great experiences for people on the go? Tailwind Concessions is looking for an enthusiastic Cook to join our airport team!

As a Cook, you’ll play an important role in the traveler experience. From preparing fresh, quality meals to keeping the kitchen running smoothly, you’ll help ensure that every guest receives delicious food and friendly service before they continue on their journey.

This is a fast-paced airport environment where no two shifts are exactly the same. If you take pride in your work, enjoy being part of a team, and can keep your cool when the kitchen heats up, we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of our kitchen team, you will:

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Consistently deliver high-quality food that meets the expectations of our guests and management.
• Prepare ingredients and complete food preparation for service.
• Work short-order stations and prepare meals efficiently during busy travel periods.
• Operate fryers and flat-top grills safely and effectively.
• Follow proper food-handling procedures and maintain safe food temperatures to prevent foodborne illness.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.
• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and food-safety guidelines.
• Restock ingredients, products, and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Work closely with other team members to keep service moving efficiently.
• Interact with guests in a positive, friendly, and professional manner when needed.
• Follow direction from management and consistently meet restaurant standards.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're looking for dependable team members who take pride in serving great food and helping travelers have a positive airport experience.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A strong sense of accountability and pride in the food they prepare.
• The ability to follow recipes, instructions, and established preparation standards.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for safely handling kitchen equipment and utensils.
• The ability to perform knife skills such as chopping, slicing, cutting, and dicing.
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• The ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including busy travel periods.

Previous cooking or food-service experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

IMPORTANT AIRPORT REQUIREMENTS

• Must successfully pass the required background check to obtain an airport badge.
