About this role

Job Summary:

Effectively plans and implements workload for assigned orders ensuring parts, materials and manpower are available for the production floor to perform the work.  Provides other support to production and operations as required.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Reviews the Daily Machine Schedule and dispatches operators to machines or work centers

    Responsible for ensuring adherence to work instructions, policies, and quality specifications

    Responsible for training all operators on the molding floor

    Reviews production, cycle time, down time, and scrap in ERP software to ensure accuracy

    Maintains and updates production reports, including finished product reporting

    Communicate machine issues to Engineering and Management

    Properly tag/dispose of nonconforming parts

    Review and move finished product to the next department/location

    Follow written and verbal instructions regarding job duties and daily activities

    Ensures that all operators are prepared for daily runs including packaging material, blue books, and any requisite tools

    Accountable for various reports, data, and inventory tracking

    Maintain current job traveler visibility on all work centers and stations

Additional Responsibilities:

    When requested, may work on special projects and various related assignments.

    Collaborate with engineering to ensure all preliminary data for machine S/U checklists and machine work order summaries are available

    May be required to work in various areas of operations when necessary

    Performs other related duties and assignments as required

    May be required to assist in reclaiming inserts, general clean up and setting up conveyors as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk and/or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl. The employee must also occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud.

Education, Skills and Experience:

    High school diploma or GED required

    Minimum 2 years experience in production

    Communication skills

    Familiar with computer software

    Attention to detail

    Good math skills.
