The Role
As a Patient Services Coordinator (PSC), you are the first impression and the face of the clinic. From the moment a patient walks through the door until they leave, you help create a welcoming, organized, and seamless experience.
This role is perfect for someone who can multitask, communicate confidently, stay organized, and keep a positive attitude even when things get busy.
You’ll manage front desk operations, coordinate appointments, assist patients with billing and insurance questions, collect payments, support clinic operations, and help ensure every patient receives exceptional service.
Our PSCs also play an important role in patient satisfaction and retention, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and making people feel comfortable and valued.
What You'll Do
Welcome patients with a friendly, professional attitude and provide an excellent check-in and check-out experience
Check patients in and room them for appointments
Review and explain patient billing, insurance coverage, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), and out-of-pocket costs clearly and confidently
Help resolve patient billing and insurance questions with professionalism and compassion
Accurately enter and update patient demographics, insurance information, and account details
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally and route calls or messages appropriately
Collect and process patient payments accurately
Monitor clinic emails, text messages, and faxes throughout the day and ensure timely follow-up
Perform bi-monthly inventory based on clinic needs
Keep clinic supplies, snacks, and supplements organized and stocked
Complete bank deposits twice weekly and maintain accurate daily End-of-Day records
Support providers and clinic staff with administrative and clerical needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-friendly front desk and waiting area
Attend monthly, quarterly, or annual meetings as needed
Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and all clinic policies
What We're Looking For
We want someone who is dependable, personable, confident, and ready to learn. The right candidate enjoys interacting with patients and can handle a busy clinic environment while staying organized and professional.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
Previous healthcare, medical office, front desk, or customer service experience preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Comfortable discussing payments, insurance benefits, and patient account information
Strong computer and electronic communication skills
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Professional, friendly, and patient-focused attitude
Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive patient information
Must successfully pass a criminal background check
Must be flexible with clinic hours and available to work 2–3 Saturdays per month
Clinic Hours
Monday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Saturday availability is required approximately 2–3 Saturdays per month.
