About the Role:
Sylvan Learning Center in Marlton, NJ is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher to inspire K-5 students in a supportive, personalized learning environment. If you're passionate about helping young learners build confidence and literacy skills, this is the opportunity for you! Our center is open the following days & times: Monday - Thursday: 4pm-8pm Saturday: 9am-1:00pm.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, personalized English instruction to students in grades K-5
- Track student progress and communicate updates to parents and center staff
- Implement Sylvan's proven curriculum and instructional materials effectively
- Create a positive, encouraging classroom environment that motivates young learners
- Collaborate with center directors and fellow educators to support student success
Requirements:
- Teaching Certification
- Minimum 2 years experience teaching or tutoring elementary-age students (K-5)
- Strong knowledge of phonics, reading comprehension, and early writing skills
- NJ teaching certification is a plus but not required
- Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic approach to working with children
- Strong communication skills with students, parents, and staff
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to student achievement
