About this role
Superlanet is seeking a Senior Unified Communications Engineer to support our healthcare client in Texas. This role is responsible for providing technical leadership across network and infrastructure environments, with a focus on delivering reliable, scalable solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, and enterprise systems.
This is a full-time position with an expectation of onsite or hybrid support, given the hands-on nature of infrastructure responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, offering guidance on complex infrastructure initiatives
- Design, implement, and support network infrastructure solutions across LAN, WAN, wireless, and firewall environments
- Lead troubleshooting efforts, perform root cause analysis, and deliver timely resolution of system and network issues
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including testing and documentation
- Manage system capacity, performance, and lifecycle planning using monitoring tools and analytics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support enterprise applications, including EMR and business-critical systems
- Apply change and release management best practices, ensuring proper testing and documentation of all deployments
- Participate in on-call support and assist with after-hours maintenance as needed
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in network engineering or infrastructure support
- CCNA or CCNP certification required
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies (LAN/WAN, wireless, VoIP, routing/switching)
- Experience with core networking protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP, etc.)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and system issues
- Experience with system design, capacity planning, and performance optimization
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms
Preferred Qualifications
- CCIE preferred
- Experience supporting healthcare environments or regulated industries
- Experience with third-party PBX systems and enterprise telephony environments
