SALARIED EXEMPT POSITION

POSITION TITLE: Material Control Planner III

BASIC POSITION DUTIES:

Planner III/Sr is responsible for production planning for assigned products, creating and maintaining production schedules, creating and managing shop orders, and working with Mfg for best efficiency. Working with customer service in assigned sections and product lines. Persons in this position will execute these functions daily to meet on time delivery targets, production targets, and profit targets as directed by management.

MRP, Demand Forecasting and Planning

Use the MRP system to analyze data, ensure its accuracy, and generate reports to support planning decisions.

Analyze customer demand forecasts and production schedules to determine material requirements.

Material Flow and Procurement

Plan, schedule, and coordinate the movement of materials from suppliers to the Warehouse,

generating purchase orders to meet needs.

Ensure timely material delivery and manage supplier performance.

Inventory Management

Monitor inventory levels, balance them to meet demand while minimizing excess stock and preventing shortages.

Coordination and Communication

Act as a liaison between various departments, suppliers, carriers, and freight forwarders to ensure

smooth operations and resolve material-related issues.

Problem-Solving

Expedite operations, adjust schedules to meet unforeseen conditions, and troubleshoot issues related to

material availability or delivery.

Continuous Improvement

Continuous Improvement:

Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes and procedures for better efficiency and

cost reduction.

KPI- Report KPI to Management and provide support data for root cause analysis and countermeasures.

Business-level Japanese proficiency preferred but not required.

Other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

Experience: 5-7 years of progressive experience in a related field.

Skills:

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and comfort with large amounts of data. Demonstrated ability in

analyzing and driving data-driven actions and improvements.

Excellent collaboration and negotiation skills. Able to effectively communicate at different levels with internal and

external stakeholders.

Conceptual and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach and the capability to drive and sustain

performance improvement.

Ability to perform in a high-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Technical Proficiency: MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
