About this role
Sugar Mountain is a creative, family-owned food company that is home to extraordinary brands like Beecher’s Handmade Cheese, Mishima Reserve, and The Butcher’s Table. We’re passionate about making real food with absolutely zero artificial ingredients. We’re a team at the forefront of the food revolution, committed to our mission to Change the Way America Eats. For 9 years now, we’ve been recognized as a Great Place to Work, and we’re proud of the value-driven, mission-forward culture that fuels our growth.
We're looking for a Vice President of Technology who sees technology as a way to solve business problems, not simply manage systems.
This role sits at the center of some of Sugar Mountain's most important initiatives, including ERP transformation, AI-powered operational tools, data integration, and the systems that connect our manufacturing, livestock, retail, hospitality, and finance operations.
Success in this role requires more than technical expertise. We're looking for someone who can understand how our businesses work, identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve decision-making, and build the systems, data connections, and AI-enabled tools that help our teams operate more effectively.
You'll work directly with the CEO and senior leadership team to modernize how information moves across the organization, connect systems that have historically operated independently, and ensure technology creates measurable business value.
What You'll Own
- Develop and execute the technology strategy that supports growth across our operating companies.
- Connect systems, data, and processes to create a more integrated and efficient business.
- Identify and implement practical AI, automation, and technology solutions that solve real business problems.
- Ensure technology platforms, infrastructure, and security scale with the business.
- Lead the technology team, manage key partners, and deliver strategic technology initiatives.
What We're Looking For
-
Experience connecting business systems, data, and processes across complex organizations.
-
Proven success leading ERP, systems, or digital transformation initiatives.
-
Strong understanding of AI, automation, data, and enterprise applications.
-
Ability to translate operational challenges into practical technology solutions.
-
Experience working in manufacturing, food production, hospitality, agriculture, or similar operational environments.
-
Comfortable leading a small team, managing external partners, and driving execution.
-
Curious, hands-on, and equally comfortable talking with operators, accountants, and executives.
-
Seattle-based or willing to relocate.

Commitment to Our Communities

Aimed at educating people about the prevalence of food additives and their possible health risks, the Foundation is about giving people the tools they need to make healthy eating choices for life.
We are committed to fostering a workplace where individuals of all cultures, genders, ages, sexual orientations, and abilities feel valued, respected, and empowered. Our goal is to build a team that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve and creates an environment where everyone belongs.
