Strata Innovative Solutions is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical work, particularly within oil and gas facilities. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems

Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints

Install and terminate conduit, cable tray, motors, control panels, and instrumentation

Work with PLC systems, automation controls, and related components

Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on industrial equipment

Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes and safety standards

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to complete projects efficiently

Maintain accurate documentation of work performed

Qualifications

Valid TX Journeyman Electrician certification

3+ years of industrial electrical experience (oil & gas preferred)

Strong understanding of automation and control systems

Ability to work in hazardous industrial environments

Knowledge of NEC (or applicable electrical code)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Commitment to workplace safety

Ability to work overtime and travel to job sites as required

Experience in upstream, midstream, or downstream oil & gas facilities

Experience with hazardous location (Class I Div 1 & 2) installations

Instrumentation and controls experience

OSHA 10/30 or equivalent safety certifications

Physical Requirements

Frequent use of hand tools, electronic equipment, and machinery is required. Precision and steadiness are essential for handling small components and performing delicate adjustments.
Must lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and kneeling periods.
Close visual attention is necessary for reading schematics and detailed work on computer screens. Good overall vision, with or without correction, is vital, including accurately distinguishing colors for wiring and safety signals.
Adequate hearing is necessary for safety reasons, particularly in environments with machinery and equipment where hearing auditory alarms and signals is crucial.
Technicians may need to access various locations within a facility, including climbing ladders, navigating tight spaces, and working at heights or in confined areas.
Willingness to work in diverse conditions is necessary, as technicians may be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, and outdoor weather conditions.
Must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, ear protection, hard hats, and, in some cases, respirators.
Able to drive to customer job sites
