About this role
We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer with 4-8 years of experience to own and build net-new product areas at a high-growth AI startup transforming insurance operations. You'll join a 15-person team (10 in eng/prod) that's grown from $0 to $3M in revenue in just 15 months, building AI agents that handle complex insurance workflows across voice, chat, email, and SMS. This is a high-ownership role where you'll be building from scratch 80% of the time, specifically driving the company's new browser automation and document intelligence platform. You'll report directly to the CEO and work alongside a tight-knit, ambitious team in San Francisco.
What will you be doing?
Own and build conversational, real-time AI agents for insurance operations, end-to-end
Ship net-new features rapidly (first PR to production in week one) across a modern TypeScript/React/Node.js stack
Work cross-functionally with product and forward-deployed engineering teams, and selectively join customer meetings to demo features you've built
Shape technical decisions on architecture, tooling, and infrastructure as an early engineer at a company scaling fast
Help establish engineering best practices and mentor newer engineers as the team grows toward 30 people by year-end
What happens next
Skip the application pile. I get you in front of the people who decide.
Confirm the fit
A few questions to make sure this role is the right shape for you. Two minutes.
I pitch you to the company
I write the intro, send it to the founder, and handle the back-and-forth.
A meeting lands on your calendar
When the company wants to meet, I get the call on your calendar. You just show up.
Culture & values
Incredibly high performing team with very high bar set for work ethic, intelligence, and velocity
All team members come from companies with very strong product & engineering cultures
Team members have humble-smart personalities
Prioritizing slope over intercept - willing to invest in more junior engineers who are hungry, have raw smarts, and want to learn
Know someone who'd be great for this?
