Position Overview
Staxmatic is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Plumbing Superintendent to oversee and coordinate all plumbing operations on a dedicated commercial construction job site. This role is responsible for leading field teams, managing day-to-day site activities, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
The Plumbing Superintendent serves as the primary on-site leader for plumbing operations, collaborating closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to drive successful project execution from mobilization through closeout.

Salary: Up to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and overall fit
Schedule: Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays based on project needs

Key Responsibilities
Oversee and supervise all plumbing work performed on a dedicated commercial construction job site
Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to field crews while ensuring workmanship meets quality standards
Plan, coordinate, and schedule daily activities for helpers, journeymen, and subcontractors in alignment with project scope
Monitor job site progress and proactively address issues related to safety, productivity, delays, or rework
Maintain daily job site logs and provide regular updates to management
Enforce safety standards and submit all required safety documentation per job site and GC requirement
Interpret and apply construction drawings and blueprints for plumbing, waste, and water supply systems
Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, and construction leadership to support project schedules, budgets, and milestones
Identify and resolve field conflicts, facilitate coordination meetings, and promote teamwork across trades
Coordinate material, tool, and equipment deliveries with vendors and suppliers
Schedule and support inspections to meet applicable safety, quality, and compliance regulations
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising plumbing work on commercial construction projects
Journeyman or higher plumbing license preferred
OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 strongly preferred
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet background check requirements
Proficiency with Windows-based systems and Microsoft Office
Strong project scheduling, workforce coordination, and deadline management skills
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading large commercial plumbing or MEP projects
Familiarity with GC coordination, subcontractor management, and multi-trade environments
Strong understanding of job site safety programs and compliance requirements
Experience collaborating closely with Project Management and Operations teams
