Part-Time Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Psychiatric Technician

Starting Compensation:

32.00 - 34.00 USD Per Hour

Working Location:

Fresno, CA

Working Hours/Shift:

Every Wednesday, 1800-0630 NOC/Overnight. $2 NOC Shift Differential

What you bring to SBHG:

Licensure:

  • A valid California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license is required.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED, HiSET) is required.
  • An associate degree in nursing or a social science field is preferred.

Experience:

  • One (1) year of nursing experience is required, preferably treating individuals with mental illness in an inpatient setting. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for a portion of this work experience).
  • One (1) year of medication administration experience is preferred.

How you will make a difference

Provides direct nursing care to clients and supervises nursing staff during the assigned shift to ensure safe, high-quality care. Plans, organizes, and directs daily nursing activities by making shift assignments and monitoring service delivery. Observes, documents, and communicates changes in clients’ physical and mental conditions to the Program Manager and attending physician or nurse practitioner. Administers and documents medications in accordance with prescribed orders and verifies the receipt of all ordered medications from the pharmacy. Maintains accurate and timely nursing documentation, prepares weekly client summaries as assigned, and ensures compliance with medical record and regulatory requirements.

  • Population Served: Serving adults, ages 18-59
  • Facility & Setting: 24/7 inpatient voluntary program, 16-bed facility
  • Clinical Services: Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
  • Length of Stay: 30 day stay
  • Skills & Services: Pre-vocational or vocational counseling and medication evaluation and support services.
