BASIC SCOPE/PURPOSE Summary: |
The Vice President of Transportation & Parcel is the senior leader responsible for developing and executing Staci Americas' transportation and parcel strategy across its multi-client third-party logistics (3PL) network. The role owns carrier strategy, parcel and freight performance, transportation cost optimization, client service, technology enablement, compliance, and scalable transportation solutions that support profitable growth. This leader provides executive oversight across small parcel, LTL, truckload and related modes while partnering with Operations, Client Success, Sales, Finance and IT. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Develop and execute enterprise transportation and parcel strategy aligned with growth, service and profitability objectives.
- Own small parcel, LTL and truckload programs supporting B2B, B2C, retail, wholesale and e-commerce fulfillment.
- Lead national and regional carrier strategy and relationships, including FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL and other parcel and freight providers.
- Lead carrier sourcing, RFPs, contract and rate negotiations, renewals and performance reviews.
- Own transportation spend, budgeting, forecasting, cost-to-serve analysis, savings initiatives and financial performance.
- Establish executive KPIs for service, cost, accessorials, claims, carrier compliance, capacity and client SLA performance.
- Drive parcel optimization through service selection, zone and DIM-weight analysis, packaging, rate shopping, consolidation and carrier diversification.
- Partner with Sales, Solutions and Client Success on transportation design, pricing, new-business opportunities and profitable client solutions.
- Support client implementations, facility launches, network changes, peak planning and transportation transitions.
- Oversee routing guides, retail compliance, SOPs and retailer portals to minimize chargebacks and service failures.
- Partner with IT and Operations to optimize TMS, WMS, multi-carrier platforms, rate-shopping tools, automation, integrations and data quality.
- Evaluate and implement new carriers, technologies, parcel solutions and analytics capabilities.
- Translate transportation data into actionable recommendations for executive leadership and operating teams.
- Establish governance for carrier performance, claims, escalations, service recovery and corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with transportation laws, safety, hazmat requirements, contractual obligations and customer standards.
- Build, coach and develop a high-performing transportation and parcel organization with clear accountability and succession planning.
- Serve as senior transportation subject-matter expert and escalation point for clients, carriers and site leadership.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:- 12-15 years of progressive transportation, parcel, logistics or supply chain experience, with substantial experience in a third-party logistics (3PL) environment.
- Minimum 8 years of leadership experience with increasing responsibility; multi-site, regional or enterprise transportation leadership strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transportation or a related field required; advanced degree or relevant certification preferred.
- Deep small-parcel experience, including FedEx, UPS, USPS, DHL and alternative/regional carrier networks.
- Demonstrated LTL and truckload transportation experience in addition to parcel.
- Proven success negotiating carrier agreements and delivering measurable cost savings and service improvements.
- Strong financial acumen with budgeting, forecasting, cost-to-serve, pricing support and transportation P&L/margin experience.
- Experience supporting multi-client 3PL operations, implementations, peak planning and complex B2B/B2C fulfillment.
- Experience with TMS, WMS, multi-carrier parcel platforms, rate-shopping tools, transportation analytics and systems integrations.
- Executive-level communication, negotiation, change leadership and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and pivot between strategic priorities and operational escalations.

Work Environment: - Office: Professional office environment using standard office equipment and technology.
- Warehouse: May work in distribution environments with moving mechanical equipment and moderate to noisy conditions.
Travel:- Regular travel required based on business needs; approximately 25-40% anticipated.
