Position Overview
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Salesforce Integration & Data Engineer to lead a critical digital transformation initiative. The role will focus on decommissioning a legacy SQL database intermediate layer and establishing direct, modern integration paths between core source systems and Salesforce. The ideal candidate will have strong experience bridging traditional database architecture with modern cloud ecosystems while designing scalable real-time and batch data integrations.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of Salesforce Data Engineer experience
- Hands-on experience with migration from SQL databases to Salesforce
- Experience with decommissioning SQL databases
- Strong Salesforce integration and data engineering experience
- Experience with data mapping, transformation, ETL, and data modeling
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs
- Experience with SQL databases, stored procedures, and relational databases
- Strong understanding of data integrity, governance, reconciliation, and exception handling
- Experience with Apex development, triggers, and Salesforce data intake
- Experience handling large data volumes (LDV) and Salesforce performance considerations
- Experience with middleware/integration platforms such as MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Celigo, or Azure Data Factory

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and decommission legacy SQL relational databases currently used as staging layers between source systems and Salesforce.
- Establish direct REST/SOAP API and event-driven connections between upstream systems and Salesforce.
- Configure and maintain middleware platforms for data orchestration, transformation, and traffic management.
- Convert complex SQL stored procedures, views, and ETL logic into Apex, middleware logic, or Salesforce flows.
- Design scalable Salesforce data models capable of handling large data volumes.
- Develop exception logging, reconciliation, and synchronization failure mechanisms.
- Develop clean, asynchronous, and tested Apex code, triggers, and LWC where required.
- Optimize integrations for API limits, governor limits, row locking, batching, and queuing.
