 Schedule: 
Monday: 8am-5pm
Tuesday: 7:15am-5pm
Wednesday: 7:15am-5pm
Thursday: 7:15am-5pm
Friday: OFFICE CLOSED

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our team, you will help support smooth, efficient, and comfortable patient care by:

  • Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures such as extractions, implants, bone grafts, and IV sedation cases

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile surgical environment, including instruments and operatory setup

  • Monitor patient vitals and comfort levels before, during, and after procedures

  • Document surgical procedures accurately in the dental software system

  • Manage surgical inventory and order materials as needed

  • Provide pre- and post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers

  • Support sedation and recovery protocols in accordance with practice and regulatory standards

  • Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards at all times

  • Collaborate closely with the front office, sterilization, and clinical teams to ensure efficiency

  • Reinforce Squire Dental’s core values through professionalism and compassionate care


Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Completion of a dental or surgical assisting program

  • Current CPR/BLS certification

  • State-specific dental assistant or surgical assistant certification (as applicable)

  • Minimum 1–2 years of surgical or oral surgery assisting experience

  • Familiarity with OSHA, CDC, and infection control protocols

  • Strong communication and documentation skills



Preferred:

  • Proficiency in dental software systems (Denticon)

  • IV sedation monitoring certification (if applicable)

  • Radiology certification and experience with digital imaging


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and assisting for long procedures

  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity to handle surgical tools and materials

  • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, surgical chemicals, and PPE

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs and respond quickly in clinical settings
