Description

Job Purpose:

Ensure training processes are in place and followed to achieve a quality product for the customer. Coordinates the Total Training Plan (Process Manuals & Certification Process). Participates in problem solving related to product quality. Support the organizational needs and values required. 

 

Job Duties:

-Ensures quality by:

   -Clearly defining and utilizing processes in daily work

   -Understanding SFW team structure, roles and responsibilities

   -Integrating process methodology into daily work; 5S, 6D, Quality at the Source, etc

   -Looking for innovative ways to streamline work processes across the division

   -Able to identify Quality gaps

   -Establishing forums to share best practices

   -Using department and company scorecard and other metrics

   -Measuring own work to plan and reports out at a micro and macro level

-Coordinate and execute training of associates

-Develop and provide initial orientation of new or transferred associates, which includes safety Must-Know training

-Develop and provide Safety Must Knows training

-Ensure proper training of associates including follow-up

-Owner (develop, maintain and ensure proper use) of Departmental Process Manual(s)

-Create and revise work instructions, procedures and forms

-Perform random and/or regular specification Layered Process Audits and other audits

-May perform customer on-demand audits, as necessary

-Work with team leaders to schedule training certification events

-Conduct & coordinate mini- trainings initiated thru changes to process

-Conduct RF unit training/maintenance Support Quality at the Source program

-Develop/manage employee Certification process

-Know, gather and understand department Quality metrics

-Maintain department cross-training matrix

-Perform root cause analysis on remakes and drive improvement

-Work with engineering to resolve process or product issues

-Retrain/work with associates to eliminate errors and remakes

-Participate in department/group management meetings

-Able to gather, sort, graph and present Quality data for month end

-Able to initiate and complete the reject process

-Able to present Quality at the Source meetings for team leaders and/or associates

-Audit Control Plans Provide miscellaneous support

-Create presentations for miscellaneous meetings

-May serve as back-up in production capacity

-Complete other projects, as necessary

-Able to work with Vendors on quality issues

-Help maintain 6S program in department Maintain clean and safe work environment 

-Follow safety policies and procedures

-Attend regularly-scheduled safety meetings

-Attend daily huddles and other meetings to ensure smooth flow of communication

-Work all required overtime

Requirements

Education and Experience:

 

Required:

-High School diploma or equivalent

-Must be bilingual, English/Spanish (written and spoken)

-Strong communication skills

-Must be able to learn all of the jobs in department

-Must be able to work flexible hours to cover multiple shifts and departments

-Must have good computer skills

-Must be able to prioritize and manage time wisely

 

Preferred:

-Minimum of 2 years of experience

-Thorough understanding of Quality at the Source
