Position Title: Human Resources Operation Manager
Location: Hybrid (2-3 days, Sprezzatura HQ, Client Site) _ Onsite (Arlington, VA)

POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Operations Manager will oversee and optimize the company’s core human resources processes, ensuring efficient, complaint, and employee-focused operations. This role is responsible for managing benefits administration, maintaining and enhancing the HRIS system, developing and updating HR policies and procedures, and ensuring smooth onboarding and offboarding experiences. The HR Operations Manager will also lead HR data reporting and analytics efforts, ensure accuracy and actionable insights, while maintaining compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations. Acting as a strategic partner to leadership and a trusted resource for employees, this role plays a critical part in fostering a positive, well-managed, and legally compliant workplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overall management of department responsibilities while providing leadership and guidance for direct reports.
- Benefits Administration & Management
- Administer and manage employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement, and wellness initiatives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for benefit-related escalations and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Coordinate annual open enrollment and vendor relationships.
- HRIS Maintenance & Optimization
- Maintain and update the HRIS to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
- Implement system enhancements, integrations, and process automation to improve efficiency.
- Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports for leadership decision-making.
- Policy & Procedure Development
- Develop, update, and communicate HR policies & procedures and the employee handbook in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on policy interpretation and application.
- Onboarding & Offboarding
- Oversee new hire onboarding to ensure seamless experience and full compliance with legal requirements.
- Manage employee offboarding, including exit interviews and final communications.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and maintain HR reports, including compliance reporting and required filings.
- Monitor changes in employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
- HR Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline workflows to improve employee experience.
- Partner with leadership to design and implement operational best practices.
- Ad hoc projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience including working in a government contracting environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements.
- Experienced with HRIS implementation, system maintenance, and compliance best practices. ADP experience preferred.
- Experienced in benefits administration and management.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.

PAY RANGE
The base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 annually, depending on geographic work location, relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, security clearance, and contract requirements. Geographic salary ranges are determined in accordance with the company's compensation practices and represent a good-faith estimate of the compensation for this position at the time of posting.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday 9AM- 5PM EST. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs. Travel may be required from time to time for meetings and industry events.
