Job Summary

The Regional Operations Manager holds final P&L responsibility for the NC, SC, GA, and FL region, leading major client relationships, business development, and operational staff direction for a team of approximately 150. This role requires a BS in Geology or a related environmental discipline, and a minimum of 15 years of professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, negotiate, and approve regional client MSAs
  • Hold final P&L and budget responsibility for the NC, SC, GA, and FL region
  • Review bids and cost estimates for large-scale projects
  • Lead business development and client interaction
  • Conduct annual performance reviews of Southeast Operations Managers
  • Coordinate with corporate management on company policies, goals, and resolutions
  • Own regional safety program performance, including incident rates, OSHA compliance, and Health & Safety Plan (HASP) oversight
  • Provide final technical review and approval of legally binding project documents
  • Ensure all operations personnel comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Identify new client and market opportunities
  • Support new office start-ups as needed
  • Travel throughout the region to support offices, clients, and staff as required

Required Qualifications

  • BS Degree in Geology or a related environmental discipline (or equivalent combination of education and 15+ years of experience)
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience
  • HAZWOPER / OSHA 40-Hour certification required
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Strong technical writing, negotiation, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Deltek Vantagepoint (or similar project management software)
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills, with ability to engage senior-level client management
