About this role

Solidroad is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our San Francisco team. This role will own major parts of our product, shape technical decisions, and mentor teammates as we scale our engineering efforts. You’ll work cross-functionally to accelerate customer conversations and deliver high-performance experiences.

What youll do

  • Lead the development of advanced prompt engineering and retrieval pipelines to handle thousands of customer conversations daily.
  • Architect and build real-time, interactive multimodal training simulations using technologies like OpenAI, ElevenLabs, and Vapi.
  • Drive the creation of high-performance, intuitive user experiences using Next.js.
  • Make critical decisions about architecture, tooling, and product direction.
  • Mentor and coach other engineers, helping to scale up the team's capabilities.

What Solidroad is looking for

  • 4+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering, with a track record designing and building scalable systems.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with hands-on experience using Next.js.
  • Experience with touchpoints to AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot) and experience working with large-scale systems at fast-growing Series B, C, or D startups or through consistent progression.
  • Experience mentoring other engineers or acting as a tech lead.
