Canvasser — Lakefront / Loop, Chicago
Location: Lakefront and Loop, Chicago, IL (the Loop, South Loop, Streeterville, River North, Gold Coast, Near North, and surrounding lakefront neighborhoods)
Pay: $20/hour
Type: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Start Date: September 7
About the Program
This program focuses on increasing voter participation and engagement in Chicago's lakefront and downtown neighborhoods, and ensuring that every voice in the community is heard. At Solidarity Strategies, we are committed to electing Democrats and driving progressive change through grassroots organizing and one-on-one conversations with voters.
About the Role
We're hiring passionate, outgoing, and reliable canvassers to join our field team along the lakefront and in the Loop. As a canvasser, you will speak directly with voters at their doors, share information about the campaign, and collect important data using tools like MiniVAN.
Turf in this area is dense and vertical — you'll be working high-rise and mid-rise residential buildings, condo associations, and secured lobbies, which means more doors in a smaller footprint and a premium on professionalism with building staff. Evening and weekend shifts are where the best contact rates happen.
This is an entry-level position — no prior experience required. Paid training will be provided. Flexible schedules and multiple shifts are available.

Tech-savvy and able to use a smartphone for data entry and navigation

Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
