About this role

We are looking for a Lead Technical Writer with 3-5 years of experience to be the voice of Slash engineering — turning the hard, interesting things our team ships into writing that engineers actually want to read. You'll be embedded directly within our engineering team (reporting to our CTO), working closely with engineers to understand what they're building and crafting compelling blog posts, technical deep dives, and social content. Slash has reached unicorn status ($100M Series C, $1.4B valuation) with just ~65 people and 12 full-time engineers — but almost nobody knows how incredible our engineering team is yet. You'll change that.

What will you be doing?

Own the Slash engineering blog end-to-end — sitting with engineers, understanding what they shipped, and publishing posts that do it justice

Pump out high-volume technical content (targeting ~10 posts/month initially) covering everything from crypto infrastructure to agentic payments to fun side projects engineers build

Write and manage engineering-focused social media content on X/Twitter and LinkedIn to build Slash's engineering brand and attract top talent

Embed with the eng team daily — proactively hunting down stories worth telling rather than waiting to be handed them

Translate engineers' rough ideas and scratch notes into polished, compelling pieces written in their voice — like a young, Gen Z-native tone that resonates with the team
