Fab Operations Manager (FOM)

Openings: 2 Positions Available
Schedule: Compressed Work Week (12-hour shifts). Roles available for:

  • B Shift (Front-Half): Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday.  6:00 PM- 6:15 AM.  10% Shift Differential.
  • C Shift (Back-Half): Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday.  6:00 AM- 6:15 PM.

 

Security Requirement: US Citizenship Required (Ability to obtain/hold a government security clearance)

Primary Objective:

The Fab Operations Manager oversees all semiconductor Fabrication areas. In this role, you will collaborate closely with manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering to produce products on schedule while meeting the highest standards of safety and quality.

Reporting & Leadership

  • Dotted-Line Leadership: You will maintain a dotted-line reporting relationship with the Maintenance, Facilities, and Sustaining Supervisors on shift to ensure the right tactical priorities are being actively driven and executed across all operational areas.


Major Areas of Accountability:

Operational Execution

Ensure resources (manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and materials) are aligned to achieve Manufacturing goals. Utilize Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to monitor Work-In-Progress (WIP), optimize cycle times, and ensure shift production targets are met.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Process, Equipment, Industrial, Facility, Quality Engineering, and Planning Control. Work closely with engineering teams to lead the development and successful rollout of new technologies in the factory.

People Leadership & Culture

Coach and develop staff to build leadership skills and functional knowledge. Lead and foster a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, open communication, reward, recognition, respect, and professionalism.

Safety, Quality & Yield

Enhance safety and quality programs to exceed company standards. Leverage Statistical Process Control (SPC) data and partner with engineering to identify out-of-control processes and drive line-yield improvements.

Compliance & Communication

Act as a liaison between department management, subordinates, and the Operations Director to cascade policies, decisions, and communications. Take corrective action in accordance with company policy.

 


Required Qualifications:

Required Experience

5+ years of experience in Semiconductor manufacturing management. Minimum of 2 years of experience managing a significant segment of manufacturing.

Education

A bachelor's degree is strongly preferred but not required (otherwise, a heavy emphasis is placed on equivalent hands-on industry leadership experience).

Required Skills

Working knowledge of modern semiconductor software tools, including MES and SPC methodologies. Excellent oral/written communication skills and proficiency with MS Office. Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive approach, demonstrated organizational time management, and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Citizenship

U.S. Citizenship is strictly required to be eligible for a government security clearance.

Preferred Assets (Plus)

Lean manufacturing background. Demonstrated experience enhancing safety and quality programs.

 

The annual salary range for this role is $112,640 - $168,960.  There is a shift differential of 10% for the night shift. Pay offered is based on many factors, including, but not limited to, the job-related experience, skills, education, and credentials of each candidate.
