Plant Fitter - Electrical Bias (Sizewell C)
Tru7 Group
Sizewell C
Are you a Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, Auto Electrician or Heavy Plant Technician with a strong electrical and diagnostic background?
We're still looking for the right person to join the Tru7 Group Engineering Team as a Mobile Plant Fitter, with a particular focus on electrical fault-finding, diagnostics and modern machine technology.
This isn't just about changing filters and fixing mechanical faults.
You'll be getting to the bottom of electrical, electronic and control-system faults across a modern fleet of heavy plant - using diagnostic equipment, schematics and your technical knowledge to keep machines working safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
• Electrical fault finding & diagnostics
• CAN bus & electronic control systems
• Sensors, wiring & control circuits
• Machine control & GPS technology
• Hydraulic/electrical interfaces
• Engine management systems
• Planned maintenance & breakdown response
• A wide range of modern heavy plant
Qualifications
Essential:
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plant Maintenance / Construction Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
• City & Guilds / IMI / BTEC qualification in Plant Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Auto Electrical Engineering would also be relevant.
• Strong practical experience in electrical fault-finding and diagnostics on mobile plant, HGVs, agricultural machinery or similar equipment.
• Full UK driving licence.
Desirable:
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations - useful, but I wouldn't make this essential for a mobile plant role.
• Manufacturer-specific training/qualifications.
Experience
• Experience with CANbus and ECU diagnostics.
• Experience with GPS and machine-control systems.
• Hydraulic/electrical control-system experience.
