Detects and corrects errors. Uses word processing, spreadsheet, database, web portals or other software on a computer. Can also use basic office equipment and has the ability to follow instructions. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable learning and using company-approved AI and automation tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, and workflow organization
Qualifications
Minimum Education: High School Diploma/ G.E.D.
Minimum 3+ Years of experience in data entry.
Maintain strong skills in diplomacy, professionalism and trustworthiness.
Strong communications skills in both oral and written.
Knowledge of EPower and Centricity desired.
Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
The ability to learn new computer systems applications.
Medical billing and/or insurance background including Medicare, Medicaid, other government payors, third
party payors, and commercial insurance.
Familiarity with AI-powered productivity, automation, or data-quality tools preferred.
Type 45-60 WPM.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Medical Billing Specialist should expect to work frequently with a computer.
Entering data into a health information system is a core function of the job.
Performs data entry and report edits as required with speed and accuracy.
Tracks production and trends and reports issues to leadership
Assists with database management functions
Maintains daily production goals as it pertains to charge entry
Utilize company-approved AI and automation tools to assist with document processing, data quality, error detection, and workflow efficiency.
Perform other duties as assigned by department manager.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The employee will be exposed to working conditions commensurate with a traditional office environment.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move using proper body mechanics and agree to ask for assistance if required.
While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
Must submit to random drug screenings.
