About this role

Position information:

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Shangri-La’s LEAP Program provides person-centered support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in both facility-based and community settings. The DSP assists individuals in developing and maintaining skills that promote independence, community inclusion, social engagement, health and safety, and overall quality of life. Responsibilities include supporting participants with meaningful activities, community access, personal goals, and daily living skills in accordance with each individual's Individual Support Plan (ISP). The DSP fosters a positive, respectful, and inclusive environment while ensuring services are delivered in a safe, supportive, and person-centered manner that honors individual choice, dignity, and self-determination.

Position Details:  

Status: Full Time 40 Hours Per Week 
Location: Salem 
Shift: Day Shift - Sunday - Thursday 
Starting wage: $20.14 an hour
Wage Scale: $20.14 - $24.50

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Must pass a background check

Have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
