Position Summary
The Business Manager serves as the primary liaison between The Seven Hills Anesthesia Northern Kentucky Division’s physician and CRNA workforce and its Board of Directors. This role functions as both a communication checkpoint and an operational implementer, ensuring that staff concerns, proposals, and administrative matters are appropriately addressed while also translating Board decisions into actionable operational changes.
The position blends elements of practice management, operational management, and executive support. The practice manager is expected to exercise judgment, discretion, and professionalism while maintaining transparency and trust across all levels of the organization.
The position will provide concierge-level support to multiple facets of the practice, while also being authorized to independently resolve numerous tasks on behalf of the BoD. The Business Manager can count on working alongside a full-time payroll, scheduling/operations, and HR team and can refer tasks to those teams.
Core Responsibilities
Resolution, Delegation, or Escalation of Communications received by our Department
- Monitor and distribute email communications to department leadership. The Business Manager will control an email inbox for communications intended for our department’s leadership, and will act as the distributor for these messages to the relevant BoD member.
- Route issues to the appropriate Board member or committee when approval, policy interpretation, or executive action is required.
- Respond to issues directly that already have a clear policy or precedent.
- Summarize staff concerns or proposals for Board review, as appropriate.
- Track escalated matters to resolution and communicate outcomes back to staff.
Practice Management & Implementation
- Prepare, with the President, the agenda for the next Board of Directors meeting
- Act as secretary for Board of Directors meetings and create minutes after meetings.
- Operationalize Board Decisions. Specifically, after Board meetings, carry out action items identified by the Board, such as updating policies and notifying the scheduling team or payroll about relevant changes.
- Ensure follow-through on Board initiatives and deadlines.
Communication & Documentation
- Maintain organized records of recurring issues, resolutions, and policy interpretations.
- Amend Department Policy Manual with changes as they occur.
- Draft and distribute internal communications when directed by the Board.
- Assist in preparing agendas, summaries, or operational reports as needed.
- Update and revise the department’s Policy Manual as needed.
Staff Liaison & FAQ Resolution
- Serve as a the primary point of contact for employees, solving issues ranging from:
- HR-related concerns
- Delegate and communicate sensitive issues to company HR team.
- Handle familiar issues or FAQs per company policies.
- Payroll or compensation questions
- Delegate and communicate issues to company Payroll team.
- Handle familiar issues or FAQs per company policies
- Proposals and improvement suggestions
- Problem Resolution
- HR-related concerns
Miscellaneous
- Co-attend daytime meetings with Physician Leaders from time to time, assisting with meeting prep and followup as necessary.
- Become familiar with employee compensation packages, to assist as necessary with distributing recruitment materials to potential recruits that visit our department, such as interviewees or students rotating with us.

Qualifications
Required
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Comfort interacting with both clinical staff and executive leadership.
Beneficial, but not mandatory
- Experience in healthcare administration, practice management, or giving financial presentations.
- Familiarity with physician/CRNA scheduling and operational workflows.
