- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation of trim components.
- Measure, cut, shape, and install various wood and composite materials using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and levels.
- Operate power tools for woodworking including drills, sanders, nail guns, and routers while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Install interior trim such as baseboards, crown molding, window casings, door casings, wainscoting, and custom millwork with attention to detail.
- Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials; ensure all equipment is used safely in compliance with power tool safety standards.
- Assist with other carpentry-related tasks including framing, siding installation, door hanging, cabinet installation, and minor repairs as needed.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry principles with experience in residential trim carpentry and general construction.
- Proficiency in reading construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate implementation.
- Skilled in using hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers) and power tools designed for woodworking projects.
- Familiarity with woodworking machines such as table saws or routers for precision fabrication.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately for complex installations.
- Experience with construction estimating processes related to material needs and project timelines.
- Knowledge of safety procedures including power tool safety protocols and proper handling of construction materials like wood construction materials or siding products.
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks typical on construction sites; comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Basic understanding of related trades such as electrical experience for fixture installation or plumbing knowledge for remodeling projects is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills to ensure high-quality finishes.
