About this role
Serve as the hands-on technical lead for data analytics and BI delivery – architecting and building the data models, pipelines, and reporting that power business decisions and setting the technical standard for data delivery across the organization. This is a hands-on senior engineering role for a professional who builds production-grade analytics on modern cloud and AI-enabled platforms, leads the transition from legacy SQL Data Warehousing to Microsoft Fabric and related Azure data services, and guides outsourced and external resources delivering the broader analytics portfolio. The role works closely with Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Operations stakeholders as well as ISIT teams and MSP vendor partners to ensure high-quality, governed, and scalable data solutions.
Responsibilities
• Take ownership of Seadrill’s BI data platforms and reporting, including the build-out and enablement of self-service reporting capability for the business. • Design and build data models, ETL/ELT pipelines, and Power BI and Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence reports and dashboards for Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Operations; lead the migration from legacy SQL Data Warehouse to Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Data Factory, OneLake). • Serve as the technical authority on data architecture, data quality, and platform performance, leveraging Microsoft Purview for data governance, cataloguing, and lineage across all data assets. • Translate business questions into analytical solutions; gather, validate, and document requirements in collaboration with business leaders. • Set and enforce development, testing, and governance standards (including Agile/DevOps practices); guide outsourced MSP vendor resources and external delivery partners on technical execution and quality. • Develop and maintain data integrations from Oracle Fusion (ERP financials, EPM, SCM, HCM), Maximo, and other enterprise source systems into the data platform using SSIS, Azure Data Factory, and Microsoft Fabric pipelines. • Ensure the accuracy, security, and trustworthiness of production reporting; evaluate and implement AI/ML and Microsoft Foundry AI framework capabilities to enhance analytics and automate insights. |

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Data, Computer Science, or related field.
Preferred
Certifications in Power BI (PL-300), Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600), Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence, Azure Data Engineer (DP-203), or related Microsoft/Oracle data certifications.
