Hours: 3 hours per week – Saturdays, 4:00pm to 7:00pm

Are you an experienced Cook looking for a rewarding part-time role with regular hours?

Meadowcroft Care Home is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cook to join our welcoming kitchen team. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals and takes pride in making a positive difference to the lives of others.

Working every Saturday evening, you'll play an important role in ensuring our residents enjoy delicious, well-balanced meals in a warm and homely environment.

The Role

As our Part-Time Cook, you will prepare and serve evening meals, ensuring all food is nutritious, well-presented and tailored to individual dietary requirements.

Although you'll work independently during your shift, you'll be part of a supportive team that values quality, kindness and teamwork.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve freshly cooked evening meals for residents.
  • Ensure meals are served on time and presented to a high standard.
  • Cater for individual dietary, allergy and nutritional requirements.
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene and health and safety standards.
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organised and compliant with food safety regulations.
  • Manage stock appropriately during your shift.
  • Provide a welcoming and professional meal service for residents.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience working as a Cook or in a catering environment (essential).
  • Can confidently work independently.
  • Takes pride in producing high-quality, nutritious meals.
  • Is organised, reliable and punctual.
  • Has a positive attitude and enjoys working as part of a caring team.
  • Understands food hygiene and health & safety requirements.

Experience within a care home, healthcare or similar environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
