Calibration Technician – Temporary Assignment

Scientific Safety Alliance (SSA) is looking for a Calibration Technician to support one of our clients in Peñuelas, Puerto Rico.
This is a six-month temporary assignment, with the possibility of extension, and an excellent opportunity for a technical professional interested in gaining hands-on experience in calibration, instrumentation, process controls, and troubleshooting within an industrial environment.
What You’ll Do
As a Calibration Technician, you will support process and control instrumentation activities, including:
- Perform calibration of process and control instrumentation.
- Install and configure instrumentation and related equipment.
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and control system issues.
- Perform basic maintenance and technical adjustments as required.
- Analyze changes in instrument values and identify potential operational impacts.
- Diagnose technical issues and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to calibration and instrumentation activities.
- Support additional technical activities based on operational needs.
What We’re Looking For
- Associate degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, Applied Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience in instrumentation, electronics, calibration, or a related field.
- One (1) or more years of calibration experience preferred.
- Knowledge of process and control equipment, including:
- Calibration
- Maintenance
- Configuration
- Installation
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to evaluate technical information, understand the impact of changes in values, and make sound decisions.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Valid Puerto Rico driver’s license.
- Availability to work overtime, weekends, and night shifts, as operational needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in cGMP or ISO-regulated environments.
- Knowledge of data management programs.
- TWIC credential is a plus.
