About this role

The Operations Integration Lead is responsible for leading the second phase of affiliate integration, focused on operational optimization, process standardization, and performance improvement. This role serves as a boots-on-the-ground partner working directly with affiliate leadership and operational teams to identify opportunities, improve efficiencies, and drive adoption of company best practices.

This individual will assess current operating conditions, analyze operational performance, identify process gaps, and implement sustainable improvements that enhance productivity, profitability, customer service, and employee engagement. The role requires strong operational acumen, relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence change without direct authority. This role accelerates the realization of acquisition synergies, improves operational performance, and supports the company's long-term regionalization strategy. Reports to: Vice President of Integration & Optimization (direct), Regional Director (indirect)

Outcomes/KPI's

  • Complete operational assessments and optimization plans for newly integrated affiliates within 30 days of Integration 1.0 completion
  • Drive measurable improvements in labor productivity, gross margin, route density, equipment utilization, and operational efficiency within 90 days of Integration 1.0 completion
  • Increase adoption of company standard operating procedures, reporting tools, and performance management practices within 60 days of Integration 1.0 completion
  • Establish accountability with affiliate leadership teams around key operational scorecards and performance indicators within 30 days of Integration 1.0 completion
  • Deliver documented operational improvement initiatives and track progress against targeted outcomes at 30 day cadence through Integration 2.0 period

As an Operations Integration Lead you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:

  1. Serve as a boots-on-the-ground partner, working directly with affiliate leadership and operational teams to identify opportunities and improve efficiencies.
  2. Assess current operating conditions and analyze operational performance to identify process gaps and improvement opportunities.
  3. Design and implement sustainable operational improvements that enhance productivity, profitability, customer service, and employee engagement.
  4. Complete operational assessments and optimization plans for newly integrated affiliates within defined timelines following Integration 1.0 completion.
  5. Drive adoption of company standard operating procedures, reporting tools, and performance management practices across affiliates.
  6. Establish accountability with affiliate leadership teams around key operational scorecards and performance indicators.
  7. Document operational improvement initiatives and track progress against targeted outcomes.
  8. Influence change and drive operational consistency across the organization without direct authority.
  9. Support the realization of acquisition synergies and the company's long-term regionalization strategy.
  10. Follow all company policies and procedures.
  11. Perform any other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Experience in operational leadership, ideally within landscape, field service, or similar operationally intensive industries

Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and performance improvement

Experience with performance scorecards, KPIs, and reporting tools

Strong computer skills in Microsoft and other CRM/business management systems

Ability to travel to affiliate and branch locations as needed

WORK CONDITIONS

Employees in this position should be able and willing to travel to affiliate and branch locations as needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours as project timelines and affiliate needs require. This role involves a mix of office, remote, and on-site work at affiliate branch locations.
