Responsibilities:
- Embrace and embody the Scheels brand and culture, acting as a passionate ambassador to cultivate our community through social media platforms
- Works collaboratively with the team to promote first-class events to drive sales, traffic and community goodwill and engagement
- Assist in the strategy to determine and coordinate events, including organizing and managing the budget, advertising, registration, staff, and services for event and venue needs that align with the store's goals and create customer and store interaction
- Create, edit, publish, and share engaging content (text, images, or video) that connects with our community, inspires action, and aligns with the Scheels company plan
- Streamline the creation of expert-led content by efficiently managing all pre-production logistics, from identifying key product launches to organizing fast-paced shot lists that minimize disruption to store operations
- Produce high-impact, short-form video content for social platforms, leveraging advanced editing to passionately highlight technical product features and reinforce the distinctive Scheels brand aesthetic
- Assist in fostering genuine, friendly public relationships by engaging with customers across multiple online platforms, reflecting our commitment to service
- Have a clear understanding of the SCHEELS brand and culture to manage public relations between Scheels and our customers via multiple internet platforms
- Assist in providing project status updates to the store leader, the leadership team, and the Scheels Campus
- Assist in managing the marketing office budget
- Help identify and direct local community outreach opportunities, including the Helping Hands Program
- Provide backup to the community and customer contact for donation requests to foster and create partnerships
- Ability to work assigned schedules, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Schedule may include 2-3 weekend days and 2-3 weeknights per month, including occasional travel/overnight stays
- Experience with Adobe Premiere or other video editing software is preferred
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
Education & Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field; 2-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of degree and experience
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Scheels cares about the health and safety of our Associates. Associates are expected to follow all safety procedures and perform their job duties in a fashion that minimizes the risk of injury.
Schedule Expectations:
- Must be flexible to work assigned schedules between 7am and 9pm; Monday through Friday, 9am and 7pm; Saturday and 11am and 6pm; Sunday.
- Schedule may include varied hours, days evenings, weekends and holidays
- Typically scheduled Monday-Friday with evenings/weekends as needed
- Average hours per week: 40-42 Hours
