Overview: 

The Help Desk- Point of Sale Specialist will join a fast paced point of sales team to assist our multiple store locations with troubleshooting register problems and launching new technology and processes.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide customer service support on our point of sale system to all Scheels locations
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot daily operations, programs and system problems
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (written / verbal)
  • Ability to be organized, detailed, and multi-task
  • Excellent analytical skills; superior problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with the team
  • Respond with urgency to address project needs
  • Opportunity to travel to new store locations to lead/assist in set up/training of POS systems
  • Responsible for solutions from functional design through implementation in a timely manner ensuring corporate strategies are supported
  • Perform quality control of programs and system changes prior to implementation
  • Execute project work plans to complete the task on time, and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an associate’s degree in a Business related field and/or; retail and cash register experience preferred

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Roles are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
