Senior Product Manager, Shopify (Drift)
About this role
Senior Product Manager, Shopify
We’re seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the product strategy and roadmap for Drift in partnership with other key business units. Drift is a fast growing car and home care subscription company built on top of the Shopify platform.
You will lead the product side of a cross-functional team spanning Engineering, Design, Analytics, Retention, Operations, and CX. You will be integral to determining when and how to launch new features based on opportunity cost scoring and business impact.
What You’ll Be Responsible For:
Product Strategy & Ownership
- Help define and own the twelve-month product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Drift’s subscription and ecommerce experience, including the key customer problems to solve, the hypotheses to test, and the sequencing that delivers impact.
- Own the commercial outcomes of that roadmap across Drift conversion, AOV, subscriber acquisition, and subscriber LTV, with explicit targets and a clear stance on the trade-offs between them.
- Set goals, measurement plans, requirements, and acceptance criteria for that roadmap, from discovery through launch and iteration.
- Own product-side UX decisions in close partnership with Design, including entry points, flow design, and in-product messaging.
Experimentation & Analytics
- Run a high-velocity experimentation program rather than a series of one-off tests: own test design, define guardrails, protect statistical integrity, and drive decisions from results.
- Lead customer discovery, qualitative and quantitative, including interviews, usability testing, surveys, and behavioral analysis, and convert findings into prioritized work.
- Turn insight into shipped work, and be equally rigorous about retiring what did not work.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Present strategy, performance, and trade-offs to executive stakeholders on a clear cadence, and be able to back up your priority with data.
- Align the Drift roadmap with brand launches, campaigns, promotional calendars, and retention programs across Marketing, Ecommerce, Retention, Operations, and CX.
- Own relationships with external partners, agencies, and platform vendors, including holding them to their delivery commitments.
- Ensure the experience stays aligned with Drift’s brand standards and elevated storytelling.
What You’ll Need to Have:
- 7+ years of product management experience in subscription, or recurring revenue businesses, with meaningful ownership of commercial outcomes.
- Deep, hands-on Shopify experience as a product owner or product manager, including Shopify Plus, with direct exposure to checkout customization, theme architecture, the Shopify Admin GraphQL API, as well as configuration strategies.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and driving prioritization across engineering, design, and analytics with clear decision-making and accountability.
- Top-tier experimentation experience, statistical literacy, and comfort making trade-offs using both signal and judgment. Experimentation is a core strength at Drift, and we expect that rigor day to day.
- Hands-on experience turning data into product action, including defining metrics, interpreting funnel and cohort behavior, and holding a strong point of view on measurement, instrumentation, and attribution.
- AI-Augmented Product Management: We don’t just “use” AI; it is increasingly integrated into our workflow.
- COGS & Margin Awareness: Understand how product interventions such as bundles, gifts-with-purchase, discounts, or skips impact the bottom line and Cost of Goods Sold.
- Strong business acumen to size opportunities, articulate risks and trade-offs, and prioritize for impact and learning.
Nice to Have:
- Experience in beauty, fragrance, home fragrance, or luxury brands.
- Experience with physical-goods subscription businesses that carry logistics or inventory
