Description
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
This position does not supervise others.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:
- Performing electrical work and preventative maintenance on all machines and equipment
- Repairing cranes, starters, conveyer belts, single phase and three phase motors, and any other pieces of equipment
- Installing breakers, light fixtures, wiring, outlets, and other electrical equipment based on technical blueprints and job orders
- Documenting all work completed and materials used
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- 2 – 3 years of electrical experience
- Understanding and ability to adhere to safety procedures
- Ability to read blueprints, electrical diagrams, and technical documents
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems on equipment, and change contact tips
- Ability to use meters, wrenches and sockets, basic hand tools, hydraulic and pneumatic hand tools
- Ability to withstand heights for working on cranes
- Ability to drive a forklift
Preferred:
- Ability to operate lifts
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Bending
- Kneeling
- Climbing
- Squatting
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for the entire duration of the shift
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Not climate-controlled
- Foundry environment
