Sherwood Aviation is a recognized leader in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, offering component Repair & Overhaul, Sales & OEM Distribution, Engineering & Manufacturing services, and Training& Technical Support to customers world‐wide is looking for a Sales Account Manager to join our team.
The Sales Account Manager – Aviation is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing relationships with customers within the aviation and aerospace industry. This position serves as a primary point of contact for assigned accounts and works closely with customers and internal departments to ensure customer requirements are understood, communicated, and successfully fulfilled.
The Sales Account Manager manages customer inquiries, quotations, purchase orders, pricing, delivery expectations, and account performance while identifying opportunities to increase sales and strengthen long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements
- Manage and develop relationships with assigned aviation and aerospace customers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, quotations, order status, delivery schedules, pricing, and general account requirements.
- Develop a strong understanding of customers' businesses, products, programs, purchasing requirements, and future needs.
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and develop new business within the aviation and aerospace market.
- Prepare and coordinate quotations, pricing proposals, and responses to customer Requests for Quote (RFQs).
- Review customer purchase orders and requirements to ensure pricing, quantities, delivery dates, and commercial terms align with approved quotations and company capabilities.
- Coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Production, Shipping, Finance, and other departments to support customer requirements.
- Monitor open orders and proactively communicate potential delays, shortages, or other issues affecting customer commitments.
- Maintain regular communication with customers regarding order status, production schedules, deliveries, and other account-related matters.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery expectations, and commercial terms within established company guidelines and approval authority.
- Support resolution of returns, quality concerns, delivery issues, and other customer service matters.
- Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, quotation, and sales activity information within the company's CRM, ERP, or other business systems.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of company products, capabilities, manufacturing processes, and services.
- Participate in customer meetings, business reviews, trade shows, conferences, and industry events as required.
- Support annual sales planning, budgeting, and account-growth initiatives.
- Maintain professional and ethical business relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
