Samuels Seafood Company, the premier distributor of fresh and frozen seafood in the U.S., is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Assistant to join our fast-paced and dynamic team.
What You’ll Do:
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate inventory transfers from third-party cold storage facilities to the main warehouse.
- Manage PAR levels for frozen, pasteurized, and dry goods.
- Coordinate pickups and transportation with storage providers and carriers.
- Perform inventory counts for frozen, pasteurized, fresh, and dry goods.
- Maintain accurate inventory balances.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Assume ownership of dry goods inventory counts following training.
- Support management reporting.
- Prepare monthly inventory reports, including inventory aging reports.
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.

What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
