What You Can Expect In This Role

Conduct the suitability review of Annuity business to ensure compliance with the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) suitability, state and federal regulations.
What You'll Do In This Role

• Independently conduct the Suitability/Best Interest review of fixed annuity applications (excluding securities transactions) by evaluating all annuity new business and suitability documentation. Gather pertinent information to analyze risk, customer needs, insurance regulations and product choice. Extensively document decisions and actions taken for final suitability recommendation.
• Provide superior customer service via telephone (inbound and outbound), email or written communication, handling all interactions professionally and autonomously.
• Communicate with empathy and curiosity to build and maintain partnerships with all agents and distribution partners.
• Build and maintain knowledge of offered annuity products as well as external financial products.
• Learn state and federal regulatory (proposed and final) rules related to suitability. Understand state and federal regulatory rules and start to ensure the Suitability Department and Annuity Division complies with all regulations and rules related to Suitability.
• Effectively communicate with all other departments within the company as they relate to suitability procedures and decisions.
• May assist with the review of new or revised marketing correspondence and new business forms related to Suitability.
• May assist in development of system test plans and user acceptance testing.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
  • Minimum 2 years' new business or fixed annuity processing and phone experience Preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical problem solving skills
  • Ability to influence others
  • Advanced organizational skills with ability to focus on appropriate details
  • Self-motivator with the ability to work efficiently and independently
  • Proven ability to adapt to frequent change
  • Proficient use of PC and Microsoft Office Products
  • Proven facilitation skills
  • Ability to work periodic overtime, sometimes with relatively short notice
  • Some travel may be required

Salary Range Information

USD $45,251.00 - USD $75,419.00 /Yr. Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. For a narrower salary range specific to your labor market, please inquire.
