This is a Part Time position
Some of the Patient Navigator responsibilities are:
Helps patients understand their care
Coordinates appointments and follow-up
Advocates for patient needs
Removes obstacles to accessing healthcare
Connects patients with resources
Coordinates appointments and follow-up

Supports patients emotionally and administratively
Ensures communication among all care team members
Ensures communication among all care team members
Scheduling patient appointments and managing appointment software.
Handling patient inquiries, billing, and insurance verification.
Recording patient information in medical records.
Clinical Duties:
Preparing patients for examinations or treatments.
Taking and recording patients' medical histories and vital signs.
Assisting physicians during physical examinations.
Collecting samples for laboratory test.
Performing basic laboratory tests and preparing specimens.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education Required HS Diploma or Equivalence
- License/Certification/Registration(s) Required Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program
- Experience/Skills Required- One (1) year previous experience in a medical setting of relevant experience required. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills. Bilingual preferred. Knowledge of Computer Technology preferred. Successful completion of St. Barnabas Hospital orientation.
