A critical care Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse who oversees the daily operations and nursing staff within the ICU, ensuring efficient and safe patient care. They are responsible for managing resources, implementing policies, and addressing issues that arise within the department. Their role also includes staff management, budget oversight, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Education Required: Graduate of accredited school of Nursing

License(s) Required: Licensed and currently registered as a professional nurse in NYS, BLS, ACLS, PALS certification

Experience/Skills: Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the field of critical care nursing. Evidence of excellent communication, interpersonal organization, critical thinking, problem solving and leadership skills. Team development and supportive measures to improve staff retention and satisfaction rates.

Preferred: CCRN certified
