Job Summary

. Providing support to students enrolled in at least one course in social communications as part of their academic program, helping them with their studies and the completion of their assignments.

Job description

- Personally mentor students in at least one course offered by the School of Social Communications as they complete their assignments and provide them with academic support;

- Make yourself available to students during office hours;

- Refer students to university resources tailored to their needs;

- Listen to students and report issues related to academic success to the administration;

- Organize activities to support and guide students in their studies

Who is eligible

A student at Saint Paul University who has been enrolled in a social communications program for at least one year. Must be in the third or fourth year of a bachelor’s degree program. Overall GPA must be above 80%.

Language requirements

• English reading, speaking, and writing.
• French reading, speaking, and writing.

Statement of Qualifications

• • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• • Ability to work independently, combined with strong planning and organizational skills
• • A strong interest in teaching and helping others
• • Proficiency in computer skills

Other qualifications

• Understanding the pedagogy of adult learning
