Job Summary

The PIP Handler is responsible for the fair and accurate disposition of no-fault coverage exposures by processing benefits, monitoring treatment, and handling external correspondence and inquires. This role has the potential for a hybrid work schedule, contingent upon job performance.

Responsibilities

Identifies and appropriately notifies casualty claim adjuster of new potential BI and UM/UD claims as well as new injury contacts
Maintains compliance with company standards and M.G.L’s in the investigation and handling of claims.
Utilizes appropriate cost containment measures to mitigate exposures.
Administer PIP and MP benefits in accordance with MGL Ch. 90, 34M and applicable case law
Coordinate benefits with health insurers in accordance with the policy, current regulation and established procedures.
Pays submitted bills according to established procedures
Answers inquiries from insureds, claimants, attorneys, and others, and resolves issues concerning PIP and MP lines.
Develops and maintains case files that document all actions
Provides excellent customer service
Performs other activities as required
Qualifications

2- year college degree or insurance coursework/experience required
Superior organization skills and detail orientation required
Customer service experience desired
Excellent communication skills required
Computer skills required
