Overview of the role:

We are seeking a hands-on General Manager to launch and lead our upfit center. This role is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the facility, combining operations, sales/business development, and financial management (including full P&L responsibility).

Responsibilities:

Overall Leadership & Performance

·        Full responsibility for the performance, growth, and profitability of the upfit center

·        Establish and implement operational and sales processes

·        Create a high-performance, customer-focused shop culture

·        Monitor and drive key business KPIs (sales, margins, efficiency, customer satisfaction)

Operations Management

·        Oversee all upfit projects from intake to completion

·        Ensure quality control, safety standards, and efficient workflow processes

·        Manage scheduling, logistics, suppliers, and external vendors

·        Build and scale operational systems as the business grows

Sales & Business Development

·        Generate, manage, and close new business (fleet, commercial, and retail customers)

·        Develop and maintain strong customer relationships

·        Prepare quotes, proposals, and pricing strategies

·        Identify and pursue new market opportunities and partnerships

·        Build a sustainable sales pipeline and repeat business base

Financial Management (P&L Ownership)

·        Full responsibility for upfit center financial performance and profitability

·        Manage pricing, margins, and cost control

·        Track revenue, expenses, and overall P&L performance

·        Approve job costing and ensure profitability targets are met

·        Report on financial and operational performance regularly


Requirements

Requirements

·        Experience in automotive, upfitting, fabrication, or related industry preferred

·        Strong background in sales and business development

·        Proven leadership or general management experience

·        Strong financial acumen (P&L, margins, cost control)

·        Ability to work independently and build structure from the ground up

·        Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

·        Valid driver’s license
