Inside Sales Representative

Russel Metals is one of the largest metals distribution companies in North America, with a growing focus on value-added processing. The company operates through three segments: metals service centers, energy field stores, and steel distributors. Its metals service centers provide a wide range of metal products including carbon hot rolled and cold finished steel, pipe and tubular products, stainless steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous specialty metals. Its energy field stores focus on serving energy industry customers, while its steel distributors segment supplies large volumes of steel to service centers and equipment manufacturers.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative with hands-on steel processing experience and a strong understanding of service center operations to join our Houston, Texas location. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, works well within a team, and brings a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain customer relationships Quote and process steel orders accurately Coordinate with operations and processing teams Review drawings and processing requirements
• Manage delivery timelines and customer expectations Support account growth and develop new business opportunities

Qualifications

· Minimum 2-5 years of steel industry experience

· Reading CAD/DWG file

· Warehouse or service center experience is a plus

· Steel sales experience preferred

· Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume environment

· Strong communication and customer service skills

· Driven, dependable, and team-oriented, positive attitude

· Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
