Learning Support Teacher
About this role
- Assess students' academic strengths, learning needs, and learning styles.
- Develop and implement individualized learning plans to support academic success.
- Provide targeted support and interventions in core subjects and study skills.
- Monitor student progress and adjust learning strategies where necessary.
- Collaborate with tutors, teachers, and parents to support student development and achievement.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Mentor and guide students to overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and provide updates on student progress.
- Prepare and submit student assessments, progress reports, and intervention records.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of learning support programs and recommend improvements.
- Stay updated on best practices in learning support and student development.
- Participate in professional development activities and training programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, Special Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in teaching, learning support, academic counseling, or student development.
- Strong understanding of learning styles, academic intervention strategies, and student development principles.
- Ability to assess student needs and develop individualized learning plans.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Strong commitment to student success, inclusion, and continuous learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
