Job Summary
The Assistant Shop Manager at Quick Lube Carolina LLC supports the Shop Manager in all daily operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, customer satisfaction, and a well-maintained facility. This role involves leadership, operational oversight, and active participation in vehicle maintenance services.
Job Responsibilities
Assist the Shop Manager in overseeing daily shop operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and service quality control.
Supervise, train, and mentor shop technicians, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Ensure adherence to all company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and promoting Quick Lube Carolina LLC services.
Perform various automotive maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and basic inspections.
Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure the proper handling and disposal of materials.
Operate point-of-sale systems, handle cash and credit card transactions, and maintain accurate records.
Conduct routine facility maintenance and ensure a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Assist in performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed.
Step in for the Shop Manager in their absence, assuming full operational responsibilities.
Job Qualifications**
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or vocational training in automotive technology preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an automotive service environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
Proficient in performing basic automotive maintenance services (e.g., oil changes, fluid checks, tire rotations).
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Basic computer proficiency and experience with point-of-sale systems.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
ASE certification is a plus.
