Overview:
As a Marketing & Communications Student Ambassador, you will be an integral part of the Career and Professional Development Center’s outreach efforts by creating both digital and print marketing content, managing social media platforms, and assisting website updates and maintenance. From brainstorming content ideas to executing designs, this role offers a dynamic mix of creativity, collaboration, and real-world marketing experience.
Responsibilities:

Social Media Management: Plan, create, and schedule engaging visual content and videos for Instagram and LinkedIn to promote events, career opportunities, career-readiness resources, and more. Help shape our marketing strategy by contributing fresh ideas that keep our brand vibrant, relevant, and appealing to students.

Digital & Print Design: Use Canva to design eye-catching materials for emails, newsletters, and website content along with print items like flyers, signage, and other items needed for events and workshops.

Website & Content Curation: Assist with updating website content and contribute new career-readiness resources and content tailored to our student audience, such as articles and videos.

Event Support: Help prepare for and assist with our center’s events, including setup, logistics, and on-site support during Career & Internship Fairs, workshops, and other scheduled activities.

Career-Readiness Initiatives: Actively support the center’s goals by engaging with our career readiness resources, suggesting new ideas, and promoting student success initiatives.

Other Duties as Assigned: Support our center’s initiatives and projects as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram and LinkedIn). Experience with Canva (or similar design tools). Keen understanding of the student audience to promote engagement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Creative mindset and strong attention to detail. Interest in marketing, communications, and career development. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Currently enrolled RMU student (first-year, sophomore, junior, or senior).
Academic Years Preferred: Freshman Year or Greater
Wage: 12
Wage Frequency: Hourly
