About this role
- Ability to operate power tools.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, Education and Experience:
- Previous railroad track construction experience preferred.
- Qualified candidates will be required to travel.
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug test, and physical capacity test.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to perform physically strenuous work.
- Able to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Requires occasional use of a 30 lb. claw bar to remove spikes, requiring application of 50 lbs. of force.
- Requires occasional use of a 10 lb. sledgehammer to drive spikes, requiring application of 75 lbs. of force.
- Able to walk, climb, and maintain balance on equipment, stairs, ladders, uneven terrain, rails, and ballast in a safe manner.
- Able to navigate into confined spaces if necessary.
Environmental Conditions:
- Performs duties in multiple environments, including outside construction project settings and around moving vehicles and equipment.
- Exposure to weather elements.
- Must wear appropriate PPE required for the project site.
