Groundsman / Laborer - El Paso, TX

R. J. Corman Railroad Services is currently seeking a Groundsman/Laborer in El Paso, TX.

Responsibilities:

• Practice safe working habits and ensure proper PPE is being used. 
• Create reports with the help of division managers promptly based on customer needs.
• Communicate with team and supervisor throughout the job process. 
• Other duties as assigned. 

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience: 

• Strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to create and manage reports.
• Must pass a background check, drug screen, and physical capacity test.
• On-the-job training provided.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk on uneven ground.
• Ability to climb on and off railcars.
• Lift up to 100 pounds maximum.
• Frequently lift and/or carry objects up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at heights over 25 feet on railroad cars and bridges.
• Ability to work over or in water.

Environmental Conditions: 

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work in railroad and field environments.
• Exposure to elevated work areas, bridges, and water-related locations.
• Enjoy working outdoors.
