Riverpoint Medical in Portland Oregon is looking to hire a Machine Maintenance Technician I. At Riverpoint you will be part of the process that brings great technology to Medical, Dental and Veterinary markets. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of premium medical devices. Our ingenuity can be found in our suture technologies, sports medicine fibers and anchors, surgical lighting, and special needle technologies. The Machine Maintenance Technician I will be working in a clean room environment and be part of a team that handles suture technology, fibers and anchors for sports medicine procedures and specialty needle assembly and be responsible for putting together products either manually or using manufacturing equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follows the maintenance department schedule to ensure all braiding equipment PMs, repairs and installations are performed on time
- Performs extensive preventive maintenance of all specialized braiding equipment (disassembles machine to clean/repair sub-assemblies and reassembles machine)
- Documents PM and repair activities in approved forms
- Helps maintain braider maintenance log to ensure on-time maintenance
- Utilizes maintenance ticketing system to communicate and provide effective, time-efficient service for all unscheduled maintenance requests
- Helps maintain accurate and sufficient PM/spare part inventory
- Assists with receiving/moving equipment throughout the facility as needed
- Assists in facility related improvements/repairs as needed
- Helps maintain equipment and shared workspace clean and organized
- Cross-trains within the maintenance department to provide backup to the team
- Assists with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, and quality improvement, safety, and environmental and infection control standards
Education and Qualifications
- 1 year of relevant work experience or High School Diploma (preferred but not required)
- Experience using basic hand tools/power tools
- Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
- Able to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Able to work both independently and as a team
- Able to lift up to 60 pounds if necessary
- Plumbing, carpentry, and fabrication experience (preferred but not required)
- Experience using DelmiaWorks (preferred but not required)
- Forklift experience (preferred but not required)
- Able to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents (preferred but not required, will learn on the job)
