✨Rite of Passage Team is Hiring an ORR School Resource Officer at Rite of Passage, Sycamore Academy. Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! ✨

What you will do: Monitors all campus entrances and ensures the safe and efficient movement of staff, students, visitors, vendors, and service personnel throughout the facility. Answers and directs incoming calls, radio/intercom communications, and entry requests; conducts security checks and routine patrols of campus buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas; and maintains overall site safety and security. Demonstrates knowledge of emergency evacuation plans and procedures, provides directions to emergency personnel, and assists with first aid and CPR when necessary. Reports incidents, unauthorized individuals, and runaway students to the Shift Supervisor and ORR Program Manager as required. Conducts and documents monthly emergency drills, performs routine facility and grounds inspections, assists outside agencies with annual inspections, and helps ensure compliance with required permits and safety standards.

Schedule

  • Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday
  • Work schedule is based on program needs

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must:

  • Possess a High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to utilize resources available to complete assigned projects.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
  • Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
